Mobile Coronavirus testing sites in Buckinghamshire from 5th to 13th March 2021
Mobile Coronavirus testing sites will be visiting High Wycombe, Buckingham, Marlow, Princes Risborough and Gerrards Cross on various dates from 5th to 13th March 2021.
The mobile testing sites will be at:
- Friday 5th March 2021 : High Wycombe (for up to four days)
- Saturday 6th March 2021 : Gerrards Cross (for up to two days)
- Saturday 6th March 2021 : Princes Risborough
- Monday 8th March 2021 : Buckingham (for up to two days)
- Friday 12th March 2021 : High Wycombe (for up to four days)
- Wednesday 10th March 2021 : Marlow (for up to two days)
- Saturday 13th March 2021 : Gerrards Cross (for up to two days)
- Saturday 13th March 2021 : Princes Risborough
Walk-through testing sites are also open seven days a week in Aylesbury and High Wycombe, these will be in place for the foreseeable future. The sites are open for use by anyone with coronavirus symptoms, and all tests must be booked first – they are not available on a ‘drop-in’ basis.
Anyone with even mild symptoms is being encouraged to arrange a test to help stop the spread of the virus. Symptoms include:
- A high temperature.
- A new, continuous cough.
- Loss or change to sense of smell or taste.
Anyone with one or more of the above symptoms should book a test at nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119. It is also possible to order a home testing kit via the website.
If the mobile testing sites are fully booked, you will be offered testing at the next-closest location.
A testing centre operating in Slough is also currently open to Buckinghamshire residents, for booked-in visits only.
Gareth Williams, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Community Engagement at Buckinghamshire Council, said: ‘While I’m sure we are all relieved to see a planned roadmap out of our current situation, it is still vital that we continue to do everything possible to stop the spread of the virus.
The vaccination rollout is going well in Buckinghamshire and infection rates are improving, but the situation remains serious. So please do get tested if you have any coronavirus symptoms – no matter how mild – and isolate unless you get a ‘negative’ result. Please also isolate if anyone in your household develops symptoms.
In the meantime, please carry on following the ‘hands, face, space’ rules and avoid unnecessary travel. We must continue to work together to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe, and to protect our NHS and social care services. Thank you for all your efforts in this difficult time.‘
