Police make two arrests in connection with a murder investigation in Aylesbury

The Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit has made two arrests in connection with a murder investigation in Aylesbury.

On Monday 25th April 2021, at about 12.20pm, members of the public contacted police to report an assault on the Grand Union Canal near Broughton in Aylesbury.

The police officers who attended the scene found a man with serious injuries. Despite the best efforts of paramedics and police officers, sadly the man died at the scene. His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by Family Liaison Officers.

On Monday 26th April 2021, police arrested a 41 year old woman from Birmingham on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice.

On the morning of Tuesday 27th April 2021, police arrested a 34 year old man of no fixed abode on suspicion of murder.

Thames Valley Police are continuing to appeal to anyone with any information to contact the police by calling 101 or visiting the Thames Valley Police website, quoting investigation reference number 845 (26/4).
