Man sentenced for burglary and other offences in Lane End
A man has been sentenced to 20 months imprisonment for burglary and other offences.
On Tuesday 4th May 2021, at Aylesbury Crown Court, a 47 year old man of Forgetts Lane, Buckinghamshire was sentenced to 20 months imprisonment for burglary and other offences.
The 47 year old man was convicted after he pleaded guilty to:
- One count of burglary.
- One count of handling stolen goods.
- One count of aggravated vehicle taking.
The conviction relates to a number of incidents that happened in November 2020. On Monday 2nd November 2020 the 47 year old man broke into a property on The Row, Lane End, Bucks and stole several electronic items. The items were later located in a car outside his home address, the 47 year old man pleaded guilty to one count of burglary for this offence.
On the same day the 47 year old man also gained access to a property through a back-door and stole a handbag containing car keys, he then made off in a car using the keys he had obtained. He pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods and aggravated vehicle taking in connection with this incident.
The 47 year old man was arrested on Wednesday 4th November 2020 when police officers spotted him driving in the car he had taken earlier. He was arrested following a short vehicle and foot pursuit.
Detective Inspector Pete Wall, based at Wycombe Police station, said: ‘I am satisfied that [the 47 year old man] has been sentenced and admitted to his crimes.
It cannot be underestimated the impact of someone entering your house and taking property can have.
I hope that this case proves that we will investigate these type of crimes and bring offenders before the courts to justice.‘
