Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 28th June 2021

Week commencing Monday 28th June 2021 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Station Road, Quainton (between the Crossroads junction and the A41) : Until 31st December 2021. Due to works by HS2 this section of road will be closed. Bus route 16 will travel to / from Waddesdon via Quainton Road in both directions during this period.

Crest Road / John Hall Way, High Wycombe : Monday 25th January 2021 to Friday 3rd September 2021. Due to changes at the junction by Transport for Buckinghamshire Crest Road will be closed and works taking place on John Hall Way. As such the stop opp ‘Next’ and the ‘Empire Cinema’ stops will not be served during these months. Passengers are advised to use the ‘YMCA’ stop or the ‘Asda’ stop on Holmers Farm Way instead.

Steeple Claydon Road, Charndon : Monday 10th May 2021 to Friday 6th August 2021. Due to East-West Rail works this road will be closed between Portway Road and School Lane and buses 16 and 18 will need to divert. The 0645 and 0928 route 16 buses from Marsh Gibbon will start in Twyford instead then serving Marsh Gibbon and Main Street, Charndon before turning down School Hill. Route 16 passengers who use the Charndon Recreation Ground are advised to wait on Main Street instead. Bus route 18 will be unable to serve any stops in Charndon during this period.

High Street, Weedon : Thursday 27th May 2021 to Tuesday 7th July 2021. Due to urgent Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road has been closed and services 67 and 154 will be unable to serve the High Street during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Five Elms PH’ stops on New Road instead.

Bus Station, Bletchley : Monday 14th June 2021 to Monday 19th July 2021. Due to East-West Rail works on Buckingham Road, route 50 buses will be unable to access the Bus Station during this time. The service will instead drop off at the railway station on Sherwood Drive.

Copperkins Lane, Amersham : Monday 21st to Wednesday 30th June 2021, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due emergency drainage works this road will be closed during this period. Bus routes 177 and 190 will divert as follows during these times:

Tuesday and Thursday service 177 will divert via the Amersham Road and will not serve stops in Missenden Road, Hyde End, Hyde Heath or Copperkins Lane.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday service 190 will travel between Chesham and Hyde Heath via the Missenden Road and turn back round after serving ‘The Green’ stops on Weedon Hill, Hyde Heath to resume normal route. Stops on Red Lion Street, Amersham Road, Copperkins Lane and the ‘Keepers Lane’ stops on Weedon Hill will not be served.

Main Street, Chetwode : Monday 28th June 2021 to Friday 2nd July 2021. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed on these days. The Tuesday 133 bus will be unable to serve Chetwode during this time.

High Road, Soulbury : Wednesday 30th June 2021 to Friday 2nd July 2021, 7.30am to 4.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed on these days. Bus route 162 will be unable to serve the Boot PH. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Stewkley Road instead.

Commonside, Downley : Thursday 1st to Wednesday 7th July 2021, 7.30am to 4.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed. Bus route 30 will need to divert and will not serve stops on Commonside or Littleworth Road during these times.

Whielden Street / Whielden Lane, Amersham : For the following weekends between Friday at 9.00pm to Monday 5.00am : 2nd to 5th July 2021, 9th to 12th July 2021 and 16th to 19th July 2021. Due to HS2 works these roads will be closed during these dates. Passengers are advised that the buses will divert via Gore Hill on these dates and will not serve the stops on Amersham Broadway, Whielden Street and the Hospital stops on Whielden Lane.

Bus Stop Closures

A41, Bicester Road, Fleet Marston : Monday 7th June 2021 to Saturday 31st July 2021, 9am to 3pm. Due to HS2 works in the vicinity the ‘Cranwell Gate’ stop for journeys into Aylesbury will not be served at these times.

John Hall Way, High Wycombe : Thursday 17th June 2021 to Sunday 29th August 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the stop adjacent to Next will not be served during this period. A temporary stop will be placed nearby away from the works and passengers are advised to wait there and hail to the driver.

Chiltern Avenue, Amersham : Monday 21st June 2021 to Thursday 1st July 2021. Due to UKPN works the two ‘Leisure Centre’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Woodside Road instead.

Station Road, Amersham : Wednesday 23rd to Tuesday 29th June 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works Station Road, stops H and I will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Beech Grove’ stops further along Station Road (or for routes 71 / 73 the stops on Gore Hill).

Marlow Road, Bourne End : Monday 28th June 2021, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works on behalf of Openreach the ‘Parade’ stop for journeys towards High Wycombe will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Lodden Road’ stop on Blind Lane instead.

Slough Road, Iver : Monday 28th June 2021 to Friday 2nd July 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works the two ‘Post Meadow’ stops will not be served during these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Swallow Street’ stops instead.

Lent Rise Road, Burnham : Wednesday 30th June 2021 to Friday 2nd July 2021. Due to Openreach works the southbound ‘Burlington Road’ stop for route 53 journeys towards Bracknell (or Slough for route 68) will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Cornell’s Corner’ stop instead.

Denham Avenue, Denham : Friday 2nd July 2021, 9.30am to 4.00pm. Due to Telent Technology Services works the Northbound ‘Village Road’ stop will not be served at these times.

Station Road, Amersham : Friday 2nd to Tuesday 6th July 2021. Due to Affinity Water works the two ‘The Rise’ stops will not be served on these days. passengers are advised to use the ‘Beech Grove’ stops instead.

Nicol Road, Chalfont St Peter : Saturday 3rd July 2021, 8.00am to 6.00pm. Due to KN Group works the ‘Glebe Road’ stop for journeys towards the village centre will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Leachcroft’ stop on Grove Lane instead.

Worminghall Road, Ickford : Sunday 4th to Tuesday 13th July 2021. Due to Thames Water works the two ‘Rising Sun PH’ stops will not be served during these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Primary School’ stops on Sheldon Road instead.

Fulmer Road, Gerrards Cross : Monday 5th to Wednesday 7th July 2021. Due to utility works the following stops will be closed during certain times: the ‘Gaviots Green’ stop for journeys towards Slough, the two ‘Huberts Close’ and the two ‘Fulmer Drive’ stops. The works are rolling so not all stops will be closed at the same time.

Lower Road, Aylesbury : Tuesday 6th to Thursday 8th July 2021. Due to development works in the vicinity the two ‘Ambulance Station’ stops will not be served during these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Main Gate’ stop within the Stoke Mandeville Hospital complex instead.

Copthall Lane, Chalfont Common : Thursday 8th to Wednesday 14th July 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works the ‘Copthall Lane’ stop for journeys towards Amersham will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Ninnings Road’ stop further along Copthall Lane.
