Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 18th October 2021

Week commencing Monday 18th October 2021 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Station Road, Quainton (Between the Crossroads junction and the A41) : Until Friday 31st December 2021. Due to works by HS2 this section of road will be closed. Bus route 16 will travel to / from Waddesdon via Quainton Road in both directions during this period.

Marsh Gibbon Road, Poundon : Tuesday 31st August to Friday 29th October 2021. Due to East West Rail works this road will be closed during this period. Routes 16 and 18 will turn after serving the ‘Crown PH’ stops in Twyford and travel to Marsh Gibbon via Charndon. The ‘Manor House’ stops on Bicester Road and the ‘Poundon Turn’ stops on Marsh Gibbon Road will not be served.

Main Street, Chetwode : Monday 27th September to Monday 25th October 2021. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed and the Tuesday only 133 bus service will be unable to serve Chetwode.

Worminghall Road, Ickford : Monday 18th to Friday 29th October 2021. Due to a sewer connection, this road will be closed. Bus routes 110, 120 and the evening 111 will divert via the Ickford Road and will be unable to serve Ickford village during this period.

Tring Road, Aylesbury : Monday 18th to Wednesday 20th October 2021, 8.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between the Cemetery and Oakfield Road. Bus route 500 will divert via Oakfield Road and Stocklake, route 61 will divert via King Edward Avenue and Wendover Road. As such they will not serve stops on the Tring Road and High Street, between the Plough and town centre on these evenings.

Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross : Tuesday 19th October 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed on this night. Passengers are advised that buses will divert between these times via Bulstrode Way and Bull Lane. as such the ‘Austenwood Common’ stops on Austenwood Lane, and all stops on Packhorse Road (except the ‘Packhorse PH’ stops) will not be served.

Cambridge Street, Aylesbury : Wednesday 20th to Thursday 28th October 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between Park Street and Upper Hundreds Way. Bus routes 100 and 150 will divert on these evenings via Vale Park Drive and Park Street and will not serve the High Street or Cambridge Street stops.

Main Road, Naphill : Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th October 2021. Due to Affinity Water works this road will be closed on these days. Bus route 300 will divert via the West Wycombe Road, the A4010 and Bradenham Wood Lane. As such stops in Hughenden Road, Hughenden Valley, Coombe Lane, Naphill and on Main Road in Walter’s Ash will not be served over this weekend.

Furlong Road, Bourne End : Saturday 23rd to Saturday 30th October 2021. Due to a sewer connection this road will be closed and buses will divert affecting stops in Bourne End and Wooburn Green. Diversions are being finalised so more information will appear on this page early next week.

Granborough Road, Winslow : Saturday 23rd to Sunday 31st October 2021. Due to works on a new sewer connection and road crossing this road will be closed on these days. Bus route 60 will need to divert via the A413 and will be unable to serve stops in Oving, North Marston and Granborough during this period.

Bus Stop Closures

Chartridge Lane, Chesham : Monday 27th September to Sunday 7th November 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the stop opposite Chiltern Hills Academy will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Berkeley Avenue’ stop located further up Chartridge Lane.

Windsor Road, Gerrards Cross : Wednesday 13th to Tuesday 19th October 2021. Due to SSE works the two ‘Mount Hill Farm’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Dukes Kiln Drive’ stops instead.

High Street, Aylesbury : Monday 18th to Friday 22nd October 2021. Due to UKPN works the ‘Vale Park’ stop for journeys from the town centre will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Exchange Street instead.

Walton Street, Aylesbury : Wednesday 20th to Tuesday 26th October 2021. Due to UKPN works the ‘Magistrates Court’ stop will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stop further up Walton Street instead.

London Road, Chalfont St Giles : Thursday 21st October 2021. Due to HS2 works the ‘King’s Road’ stop for journeys towards Gerrards Cross will not be served on this day.

Winslow Road, Wingrave : Friday 22nd to Monday 25th October 2021, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between these hours. The 165 buses will enter and leave Wingrave via Park Gate and Leighton Road, serving the stop on Church Street only.
