Man cut with a machete during an assault by men wearing balaclavas in High Wycombe
An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following an assault in High Wycombe.
On Sunday 20th February 2022, at around 12.50am, a man aged in his forties was involved in a confrontation with a group of men on the forecourt of the Jet petrol station in Micklefield Road.
The man in his forties started to walk home with his partner when two vehicles have pulled up behind him and three men got out and marched towards him. One of the men thrust a machete towards the man in his forties, causing a large cut on his lower arm, before returning to their vehicles and driving off.
The injured man was taken to Wexham Park Hospital for further treatment having suffered a potential chipped bone, he has since been released.
The men involved in the incident are described as Asian men wearing balaclavas and one of the vehicles is described as a silver Audi.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Richard Tulloch, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘I am appealing for anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in this area at this time to please get in touch.
