Men armed with baseball bats and meat cleaver carry out an armed robbery at a jewellery store in Beaconsfield
An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following an armed robbery at a jewellery store Beaconsfield.
On Tuesday 8th March 2022, at around 10.15am, three men forced entry into the Elite jewellery store on The Highway, Beaconsfield.
The men, who were armed with baseball bats and a meat cleaver, threatened staff working in the store before taking jewellery worth an estimated £200,000. Nobody was injured during the incident.
The men left in a grey Audi, with the partial registration of GK15, in the direction of Burkes Road.
A short time later police officers located the jewellery which had been discarded at a bus stop on the A40, at the end of Burkes Road.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Mark Banham, based at Amersham police station said: ‘We are appealing for witnesses at two places in relation to this incident.
Firstly, at the jewellery store and then also anyone that witnessed the offenders discarding the jewellery at the bus stop a short time later.
I am particularly keen to speak to anyone that has dash-cam footage from Burkes Road and was in the area between 10.15am and 10.30am today [Tuesday 8th March 2022].
