Bus stop suspensions and service diversions in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 9th May 2022

Week commencing Monday 9th May 2022 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe : Monday 4th January 2022 to Monday 30th May 2022. Due to long term Cadent Gas works, Arriva bus route 48 will divert via Dashwood Avenue and will not serve stops along the West Wycombe Road. Other services along here will operate as normal but may be delayed at times.

Aston Abbotts Road, Cublington : Thursday 28th April to Thursday 12th May 2022, 8.00am to 4.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed during this period. Buses will operate as follows:

• Service 165: After serving Wing the bus will continue to Cublington, picking up passengers on the High Street, near the junction with Wing Road / Aston Abbotts Road. Then divert via Bushmead Road, the A413, New Road and Aston Abbotts Rd (Weedon) resuming normal route at The Green in Aston Abbotts to Aylesbury via Wingrave. Due to the length of diversion all journeys will terminate at Aylesbury Bus Station and Harvey Road, Barnard Crescent and Stoke Mandeville Hospital will not be served during this period.
• Services 153 and 154: Buses will operate as normal from Stewkley to Cublington picking up / dropping off passengers on the High Street near the junction with Wing Road / Aston Abbotts Road, they will then divert via Bushmead Road to the A413 missing stops in Aston Abbotts.

Elizabeth Avenue, Little Chalfont : Tuesday 3th to Monday 9th May 2022. Due to Cadent Gas works this road will be closed on these days. Passengers are advised that route 71 will not serve stops on Elizabeth Avenue. The nearest alternative stops are on Chalfont Avenue or White Lion Road.

West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe : Friday 6th to Monday 30th May 2022. Due to Cadent Gas works Redline bus route 130 will be diverting via Desborough Road and Oakridge Road during this time, missing the ‘White Horse PH’ and ‘Brook Street’ stops for journeys towards Aylesbury, and both ‘Riverside’ stops.

Beaconsfield Charter Fair : From 4.00pm on Monday 9th May 2022 to 6.30am on Wednesday 11th May 2022. Due to this event bus routes will divert and will be unable to serve stops on Aylesbury End, London End or Wycombe End (between Aylesbury End and Pennyworth Place). The nearest alternative stops are the ‘Candlemas Lane’ stops located on Station Road (routes 102, 103, 104, 380 and BB12) or the ‘Cricket Ground’ stops on London Road (route 102 only).

Woodside Road, Amersham : Monday 9th to Thursday 12th May 2022, 10.00pm to 6.00am. Due to O2 works this road will be closed on these nights. The 5.10am from High Wycombe on route 1 will divert missing the stops on Woodside Road.

Beechcroft Road, Chesham : Tuesday 10th May 2022, 9.00am to 4.00pm. Due to Openreach works this road will be closed at these times. Bus route 77 will divert and not serve stops on Beechcroft Road and Lowndes Avenue.

High Street, High Wycombe : Wednesday 11th to Tuesday 17th May 2022, 10.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Thames Water works this road will be closed on these nights. Buses will divert via Castle Street and passengers are advised to use the stops here instead or at the Bus Station.

Bus Stop Closures

Wendover Road, Stoke Mandeville : Wednesday 27th April 2022 to Saturday 15th May 2022. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘Silver Birch Way’ stop for journeys towards Aylesbury will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Hampden Hall’ stop instead.

Station Road, Beaconsfield : Wednesday 4th to Wednesday 13th May 2022. Due to works in the vicinity the two ‘Waitrose’ stops will not be served during these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Post Office’ stop instead.

Western Dene, Hazlemere : Wednesday 4th to Tuesday 17th May 2022. Due to works by CG Utilities the two stops on Western Dene will not be served during this period. The nearest alternatives are the ‘Park Parade’ stops on Holmer Green Road or the stops on Primrose Hill.

Telford Way, High Wycombe : Thursday 5th to Monday 9th May 2022. Due to works by Freeflow the two ‘Telford Way’ stops will not be served on these days. For journeys towards the town centre please use the ‘Telford Way Spur’ stop. For journeys back from town and towards Downley the nearest alternatives are on Hughenden Avenue or Brunel Road.

Coombe Lane, Naphill : Thursday 5th to Monday 9th May 2022. Due to Affinity Water works the two ‘Coombe Farm’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Hunts Hill Lane’ stops located on Main Road.

Wendover Road, Aylesbury : Friday 6th to Tuesday 10th May 2022. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Station Road Turn’ stop for journeys towards Wendover will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Castlefields’ stop located further back along the Wendover Road or the stop located on Marroway instead.

Red Lion Street, Chesham : Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th May 2022. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Red Lion Street’ stop for journeys towards Amersham will not be served on these days.

Broad Street, Chesham : Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th May 2022. Due to Affinity Water works the ‘Jolly Sportsman PH’ stop for journeys towards Chesham Broadway, will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Police Station’ stop instead.

Rose Avenue, Hazlemere : Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th May 2022. Due to works in the vicinity the two ‘William Ramsay School’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Rose Avenue’ stops located closer to the junction with Penn Road.
