Chesham neighbourhood policing team take up new home in Chesham library

The Chesham neighbourhood policing team move to a new permanent office location within Chesham library.

Following the move which finalised on Friday 10th June 2022, the current Chesham police station will be sold and the yellow phone that can connect members of the public to the Police Contact Centre will be removed.

The Contact Centre can still be contacted by calling 101 which is now free to phone from both landlines and mobile phones or by using the various contact and reporting forms on the Thames Valley Police website.

Superintendent Emma Burroughs, Commander for the Chiltern and South Bucks local policing area, said: ‘The relocation of Chesham neighbourhood team into the heart of a community building is a positive move and we are grateful to Buckinghamshire Council for their assistance.

Chesham police station has been closed to the public for a number of years and the team have used it as a base from which to patrol the local area. This move allows them to still hold a base within the town centre from which they can continue their patrols.

I know that the team are keen to keep maximising the contact that they have with the local community through other local partners and will also continue the Have Your Say meetings that are held every first Saturday of the month in the town centre.

Whilst the team’s office in the library won’t be accessible to the public, this was also the case with the police station. You can get in touch with them using the contact us form on our website or by calling 101 and asking to speak to the Chesham neighbourhood team.‘
