A41 Bicester Road – Rabans Lane to Paradise Orchard including Jackson Road and Dickens Way, Aylesbury : On Tuesday 30th August 2022, there will be an overnight road closure of the A41 for approximately two nights. This will be in operation between 8.00pm and 6.00am to install new road markings and a new traffic island. Signed diversion routes will be in operation at this time. Work will continue on the Eastbound and Westbound near Jackson Road / Dickens Way junctions with narrow lanes while construction of two traffic islands and foot way works are undertaken. Works will be undertaken daytime and two-way traffic flow will be maintained at all times along the A41. From Monday 5th September 2022, a 24 / 7 lane closure will be in operation on the westbound approach to the Paradise Orchard / Sir Henry Lee Crescent Junction, to enable ditch realignment work to take place. The extent of the traffic management will be reduced in length at the junction end of the closure, to increase lane capacity during peak hours. This work is expected to be completed by the middle of October 2022. The reason for both Jackson Road and Dickens Way to remain closed is purely for safety reasons due to the change in configuration of the junction from a roundabout to a signal-controlled junction. The existing diversion routes for both Jackson Road and Dickens Way will remain in place until Friday 2nd September 2022.
