Police appeal for witnesses following an attempted kidnapping in Aylesbury

An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following an attempted kidnapping in Aylesbury.

On Friday 29th October 2022, at around 12.30am, a woman in her twenties was walking along Taylor Road when a white BMW pulled alongside her and offered her a lift. The woman declined the lift.

 A man who was the front seat passenger in the vehicle then got out of the vehicle and tried to pull the woman in her twenties into the car, however the woman managed to get away.

The man involved in the incident is described as a tall, black man wearing a white t-shirt.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Mark Banham, based at Aylesbury police station, said: ‘We are carrying out a thorough investigation into what happened and don’t believe there to be a wider risk to the community.

We’re appealing to anyone who may have witnessed what happened to please come forward.
