Man seriously injured during a burglary in High Wycombe

A man in his nineties was seriously injured during a burglary in High Wycombe on Saturday 19th November 2022.

On Saturday 19th November 2022, at approximately 2.45pm, a man in his nineties was in a property on Cedar Terrace when entry was forced into the property.

Around £250 in cash and some jewellery was taken from the property. During the incident the man in his nineties was seriously injured and taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Police have arrested a 46 year old man from High Wycombe in connection with the incident on suspicion of burglary.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Alice Broad, said: ‘I am appealing for anybody with any information about this burglary to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

I would be particularly keen to hear from anybody walking nearby or who may have been driving in the area to check any dash-cam footage, and get in touch if it has captured anything that could assist this investigation.
