Police appeal for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision in Denham

An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following a serious injury road traffic collision in Denham.

On Sunday 11th December 2022, at around 5.00pm, a red Suzuki Vitara was travelling from the Swakeleys roundabout towards junction one of the A40. At the exit slip road, the car left the road and collided with a barrier and caught fire.

Members of the public stopped and helped the two occupants, a man and a woman in their seventies, out of the vehicle. They were both taken to hospital. The driver has since been discharged, however the passenger remains in a critical condition.

Investigating officer, PC Dawn Seston, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: ‘We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or who may have dash-cam footage of this incident, to please come forward.

We’d also like to thank the members of the public who stopped to help the couple and reunited them with their dog who was also in the vehicle at the time.
