Roadworks in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 21st August 2023

Week commencing Monday 21st August 2023 roadworks are scheduled to take place at the following locations in Buckinghamshire.

The works are part of a rolling programme. As some activities are weather dependent the dates may change at short notice.

Plane and Patch Works

A418 Oxford Road, Aylesbury. From Ellen Road roundabout to just passed Pearson Close including the roundabout : Monday 14th August 2023 to Friday 25th August 2023 – Plane and patch works using a road closure in operation between 8.00pm and 6.00am.

Conventional Surfacing Works

Stanley Hill, Amersham from Woodside Road to London Road East roundabouts : Friday 18th August 2023 to Tuesday 5th September 2023 – From White Lion Road through to Woodside Road. Works will follow on from Stanley Hill on the night of 5 September 2023 completing on Wednesday 20th September 2023.

• Main treatment works from Monday 21st August 2023 7.00am to 7.00pm, with full 24-hour road closure in place with access only outside the working times.
• Followed by night works for the roundabout of Woodside for approximate 10 nights from Wednesday 6th to Wednesday 20th September 2023.

Footways Resurfacing Works

Churchill Avenue, Aylesbury from Gainsborough Road / Marlborough Road to Ellen Road : Already in progress from Monday 31st July 2023 until Friday 8th September 2023 – Footway resurfacing works using multi-way signals between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

Drainage Works

Swan Lane / Castle Street, Marsh Gibbon : Monday 14th August 2023 to Sunday 1st October 2023 – Drainage works using a full road closure 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.

Latimer Road, Chenies : Monday 21st August 2023 to Tuesday 22nd August 2023 – Drainage works using two-way traffic lights in place 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Cressex Road, High Wycombe – Junction of Holmer Lane to pedestrian crossing : Thursday 24th to Tuesday 29th August 2023 – Drainage works using three-way traffic lights in place 24 hours a day, works taking place from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Network Improvement Works

B4443 Lower Road, Stoke Mandeville outside the Combined School : Monday 14th to Saturday 26yj August 2023 – Upgrade of existing zebra crossing to parallel crossing – 3-way temporary traffic lights expected Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm. A full road closure with signed diversion route will be required on Friday 25th August 2023 between 8pm and 5am to allow for resurfacing and road marking works.

Street lighting

Various locations in High Wycombe : Thursday 10th August 2023 to Friday 29th September 2023 – As part of the 2023 rolling program, various outdated street lighting lanterns will be replaced across Buckinghamshire, starting in High Wycombe converting 680 lanterns and upgrading them with LED energy-efficient lighting. This saves approximately 70% of the energy previously used, whilst providing better quality lighting and reducing future maintenance costs.
