Roadworks in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 28th August 2023
Week commencing Monday 28th August 2023 roadworks are scheduled to take place at the following locations in Buckinghamshire.
The works are part of a rolling programme. As some activities are weather dependent the dates may change at short notice.
Plane and Patch Works
Frogmoor, High Wycombe – From Glenister Road to Oxford Street : Tuesday 29th August 2023 to Thursday 31st August 2023 – Plane and patch works using a road closure. In operation between 7.30pm and 6.00am.
Rignall Road, Great Missenden – On the top of the Bridge Deck : Thursday 31st August 2023 – Plane and patch works using a road closure. In operation between 7.00am and 7.00pm.
Conventional Surfacing works
Stanley Hill, Amersham – From Woodside Road to London Road East : Friday 18th August 2023 to Tuesday 5th September 2023 – Works on the roundabouts from White Lion Road through to Woodside Road will follow on from Stanley Hill on the night of Tuesday 5 September 2023, completing on Wednesday 20th September 2023
- Main treatment works commenced on Monday 21st August 2023. The works are taking place from 7.00am to 7.00pm with a full 24 hour road closure in place, with access to the area available only outside the working times.
- These works will be followed by night works on the roundabout of Woodside, which will take approximately 10 night shifts. These works will commence on the night of Wednesday 6th September 2023 and finish on the morning of Wednesday 20th September 2023.
Footways resurfacing works
Churchill Avenue, Aylesbury – From Gainsborough Road / Marlborough Road to Ellen Road : Monday 31st July 2023 to Friday 8th September 2023 – Footway resurfacing works using multi way signals. In operation between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Drainage works
Swan Lane / Castle Street, Marsh Gibbon : Monday 14th August 2023 to Sunday 1st October 2023 – Drainage works using a full road closure 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
Network Improvement works
B4443 Lower Road, Stoke Mandeville – Outside the combined School : Monday 14th August 2023 to Tuesday 29th August 2023 – Upgrade of existing zebra crossing to parallel crossing with 3-way temporary traffic lights expected Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm. A full road closure with signed diversion route will be required on Friday 25th August 2023 between 8.00pm and 5.00am to allow for resurfacing and road marking works.
Street Lighting
Various locations in High Wycombe : Thursday 10th August 2023 to Friday 29th September 2023 – As part of the 2023 rolling programme, various outdated street lighting lanterns will be replaced across Buckinghamshire, starting in High Wycombe converting 680 lanterns and upgrading them with LED energy-efficient lighting. This saves approximately 70% of the energy previously used, whilst providing better quality lighting and reducing future maintenance costs.
