Roadworks in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 4th September 2023
Week commencing Monday 4th September 2023 roadworks are scheduled to take place at the following locations in Buckinghamshire.
The works are part of a rolling programme. As some activities are weather dependent the dates may change at short notice.
Plane and Patch Works
Dadford Road, Biddlesden / Silverstone – from Silverstone Park (North and South) to county boundary (North and South) : Monday 4th September 2023 to Friday 9th September 2023 – Plane and patch works using a road closure in operation between 7.00pm to 6.00am.
Conventional Surfacing Works
Stanley Hill, Amersham from Woodside Road to London Road East : Friday 18th August 2023 to Tuesday 5th September 2023 – Works on the roundabouts from White Lion Road through to Woodside Road will follow on from Stanley Hill on the night of Tuesday 5th September 2023 completing on Wednesday 20th September 2023.
- Main treatment works commenced on Monday 21st August 2023. The works are taking place from 7.00am to 7.00pm with a full 24 hour road closure in place, with access to the area available only outside the working times.
- These works will be followed by night works on the roundabout of Woodside, which will take approximately 10 to night shifts. These works will commence on the night of Wednesday 6th September 2023 and finish on the morning of Wednesday 20th September 2023.
Footways Resurfacing Works
Churchill Avenue, Aylesbury to from Gainsborough Road / Marlborough Road to Ellen Road. In progress : Monday 31 July 2023 to Friday 8th September 2023 – Footway resurfacing works using multi way signals in operation between 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Drainage Works
Swan Lane / Castle Street, Marsh Gibbon : Monday 14th August 2023 to Sunday 1st October 2023 – Drainage works using a full road closure 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
High Street, Old Amersham. From Church Street to Mill Lane : Monday 4th September 2023 to 13th October 2023 – Drainage works using two to way signals Monday to Friday between 7.00am to 7.00pm.
Micro Surfacing Road Works
Headline works only. A road closure in place Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm.

- Stevenson Road, Hedgerley : Tuesday 5th September 2023
- Clearbrook Close, Loudwater : Wednesday 6th September 2023
- Kendalls Close / Gladstone Rise, High Wycombe : Thursday 7th September 2023
- Cromwell Road, High Wycombe : Friday 8th September 2023
- Alexandra Road, High Wycombe : Friday 8th September 2023
Iron works and lining will be scheduled once the material has settled on the road.
Street Lighting
Various locations in High Wycombe : Thursday 10th August 2023 to 29th September 2023 – As part of the 2023 rolling programme, various outdated street lighting lanterns will be replaced across Buckinghamshire, starting in High Wycombe converting 680 lanterns and upgrading them with LED energy to efficient lighting. This saves approximately 70% of the energy previously used, whilst providing better quality lighting and reducing future maintenance costs.
