Man from Chesham jailed for breaching a non-molestation order

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police a man from Chesham has been jailed for breaching a non-molestation order.

Darren Beament, aged 43, of Waterside, was sentenced to six months imprisonment and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154 at High Wycombe Magistrates Court on Tuesday 29th August 2023 after pleading guilty to one count of breaching the conditions of a non-molestation order.

Mr Beament is subject to a non-molestation order, which forbids him from contacting the victim, a woman in her forties. On Sunday 27th August 2023, Mr Beament telephoned the victim numerous times and made threats to her, breaching the order. He was arrested and charged on Monday 28th August 2023.

Investigating officer PC George Ward said: ‘Darren Beament has been held to account for his actions in breaching this non-molestation order, which was put in place to help ensure the victim’s safety.

Thames Valley Police will always fully investigate any breaches of court orders and conditions and put offenders before the courts.’
