Appeal for witnesses launched by Police following a serious injury collision in Aylesbury
An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following a serious road traffic collision in Aylesbury in which a 15 year old pedestrian sustained serious injuries.
On Friday 8th March 2024, just before 9.00pm, a red Toyota Yaris was travelling along Oakfield Road from the direction of Douglas Road. The vehicle was involved in a collision with a 15 year old boy just outside the Lidl store.
The boy sustained serious head and leg injuries and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
The driver of the Yaris stopped at the scene and was not injured in the incident.
Investigating officer PC Phillip McGlue of the Roads Policing Unit, said: ‘I’m appealing to anybody who witnessed this collision or who may have dash-cam of the incident to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

The injured boy is being treated at the John Radcliffe and thankfully his injuries are not life-threatening, and he is recovering in hospital.‘
