Oxford Tube, the 24-hour coach service from Oxford to London, has announced it will offer free return travel to London Marathon runners on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st April 2024.

All participants need to do is show their race number, badge or certificate (or any other official race identification) when boarding to qualify for complimentary return travel from Oxford.

The Oxford Tube runs up to every 12 to 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, offering plenty of services for athletes to choose from. Runners can also be sure of a comfortable journey as all Oxford Tube coaches have free 4G Wi-Fi, USB power sockets, individual tables and foot rests – perfect for a relaxed journey to the Capital and a much-deserved restful return.

Elisabeth Tasker, Interim Managing Director, Stagecoach West and Oxford Tube, said: ‘I’m in awe of all those competing at this year’s London Marathon, all the months of preparation have led to this big day. Many are running for charities and good causes so we wanted to do our bit to support these fantastic individuals by offering free, easy and comfortable travel to and from the event.

We’d like to take this opportunity to wish all participants a wonderful day and the very best of luck!

Oxford Tube advises all London Marathon runners using its service to allow plenty of time to get to the start line and to check the TfL website before they travel. There are three start lines this year (blue, green or red) near Blackheath in Greenwich. Participants should alight at the final coach stop at Victoria for onward connections to the assembly points.

Free travel is only valid on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st April 2024.
