Crime decreases in the Burnham, Taplow, Dorney and Farnhams local police area

There has been a dramatic decrease in crime across the Burnham, Taplow, Dorney and Farnhams local police area.

The neighbourhood team along with other departments and agencies have invested a lot of time in crime prevention and communication in relation to Burglaries and Theft from vehicles.

This has resulted in a year to date reduction of :

  • 54% reduction in relation to Burglary
  • 56% reduction in relation to theft from vehicles

As a result there are 119 fewer victims this year as opposed to the same period last year.

Also the neighbourhood police team, licensing officer and Special Constables ran an itemiser drug operation on Friday 28th November 2014. This was a condition of entry to the pubs whereby people entering had their hands swabbed then tested for any drugs. This was In Ye Olde Swan in the High Street and The Old Fives Bells in Church Road. Throughout the evening there were a total of 47 people swabbed and 4 searches carried out. As a result of this operation 2 people in the area were also searched and dealt with possession of drugs.
