Woman, 76, knocked to floor during attempted robbery in Bourne End
Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery at a property in Lower Ridge, Bourne End.
At about 6.30pm on 20 December2014 two men knocked on the victim’s door and said their dog had escaped, they then asked if they could check the victim’s garden.
When the 76 year old victim tried to shut her door she was forced backwards and knocked to the floor.
One of the men pinned her down while the other man searched the property. Nothing was taken.
The woman was left with scratches to her face, but did not require hospital treatment.
The first offender is white, in his early 30s, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 7ins, slim and with stubble. He was wearing dark coloured gloves, which may have had an orange stripe on them.
The second man was wearing a woollen hat and a striped scarf over his face.
