Two sentenced for arson and criminal damage at Britannia Industrial Estate, Dashwood Avenue, High Wycombe
Two men from High Wycombe were convicted and sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on Tuesday 24th March 2014 of conspiracy to cause criminal damage.
A 28 year old man from Rutland Avenue, High Wycombe and a 20 year old man of Spearing Road, High Wycombe pleaded guilty to one count each of conspiracy to commit arson and conspiracy to commit criminal damage. They were both sentenced to eight and a half months in prison, to be served consecutively.
The convictions relate to incidents that took place at around 1.00am on Saturday 3rd January 2014 at Britannia Industrial Estate, Dashwood Avenue, High Wycombe when criminal damage was caused to seven vehicles by smashing all of their windows. A further four cars were set on fire.
Det Con Andrew Hall investigating officer said: ‘This has been a lengthy investigation and I am satisfied that these men have received a fair sentence for this offence. I would like to thank the victims for their patience in this case.‘
Both men are currently serving sentences for vehicle arson which took place on Sunday 4th May 2013. The new sentences are to be served consecutively to their current sentences.
