Wycombe Wanderers had a chance to earn some desperately needed points when they played Notts County at Adams Park on Tuesday 15th December 2015.
The match started in the worst possible way for Wycombe when Aaron Pierre conceded a penalty in the eighth minute of the game. Notts County took the lead when Jon Stead scored from the penalty spot with a right footed shot into the bottom left corner of the Wycombe net.
Notts County were reduced to ten men in the thirty ninth minute when Liam Noble was shown the red card for violent conduct.
Wycombe took sought to take advantage of the sending off, a few minutes after the sending off Anthony Stewart came close to scoring for Wycombe but his shot, from outside the box, missed the top left corner of the Notts County goal.
Just four minutes later, in the forty fourth minute, Michael Harriman made the break through and drew the scores level with a headed goal.
The score remained one goal apiece at half time. However when the second half commenced Notts County took no hesitation in taking the lead again thank to a goal from Adam Campbell.
It wasn’t until the sixty second minute when Wycombe levelled the scores thanks to Aaron Holloway’s header into the top right corner of the Notts County net.
Wycombe desperately needed a win but the match ended a 2-2 draw. The point earned today means that Wycombe are now in tenth position in League Two with thirty one points from twenty games however they do have a game in hand.
The match stats show that Notts County has 51% possession and made seven attempts on goal (four on target) compared to twelve (four on target) for Wycombe. There were twenty eight fouls in the game, seventeen by Wycombe players and nine by Notts County players.
