Neil Gibson appointed Interim Chief Executive of Buckinghamshire County Council
Effective from Friday 1st April 2016 Neil Gibson will become the interim Chief Executive of Buckinghamshire County Council. The appointment is subject to ratification from full Council on Friday 18th February 2016.
The appointment follows the decision of the current Chief Executive, Chris Williams, to retire at the end of March 2016.
Neil Gibson is currently the Managing Director for the Transport Economy Environment Business Unit at Buckinghamshire County Council. He will hold the role until a permanent appointment is made later in 2016.
Neil, 57, has been part of the Council’s senior management team since he was appointed as Strategic Director for Planning and Transportation in 2004. He brings a wealth of management experience as well as an in-depth knowledge of the county and its issues.
