Man, 19, assaulted with a metal pole during aggravated burglary in Aylesbury

Shortly before 2.00pm on Friday 22nd April 2016 a 19 year old man was inside a property in Harvey Road, Aylesbury when two men entered through an unlocked door.

The 19 year old was assaulted by one of the men with a metal pole however the victim managed to defend himself and chased the offenders away.

Nothing was stolen during the incident but the victim sustained facial injuries which did not require hospital treatment.

The offenders are described as Asian, aged in their early twenties, 5ft 7ins to 6ft. Both were wearing tracksuits, gloves and face coverings at the time of the offence.

Det Con Gemma Robinson, from Aylesbury Force CID, said: ‘We are investigating this incident in which a man was assaulted after offenders entered his home. I would like to encourage anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at around the time of the incident, or anyone with any information which could assist with enquiries, to speak to police.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for anyone with any information about the incident to contact Det Con Robinson via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
