| May 19, 2016

On Friday 20th May 2016, to celebrate International Clinical Trials Day, Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust will be holding events at the main entrances of Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals where everyone can learn more about getting involved in research.

The events will run between 10.00am and 4.00pm and will be open for anyone to drop in.

At the events people will be able to find out about the studies that Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust currently has running, those participants are being recruited for as well as being able to ask about research with the dedicated research team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.

Currently the NHS Trust has active studies in stroke, plastic surgery and burns, cardiology and spinal injuries. Around 9 lives per year have been saved by one of the stroke studies and a cardiac rehabilitation project reduced readmissions by 42%.
