Resurfacing work to take place on part of Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross

| June 4, 2016

On the evening of Monday 6th June 2016 Transport for Buckinghamshire (TfB) will begin work to resurface part of Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross.

A 230 metre section, from Kingsway to North Park, was originally planned to be repaired during late summer 2016 however, this has been brought forward following further deterioration of the surface.

Costing around £60,000 the work will also include repairs to kerbing and manholes as well as renewal of road markings.

While work takes place Packhorse Road will be closed overnight to through traffic between 7.00pm and 6.00am on Monday 6th June 2016 and Tuesday 7th June 2016. Residents have been notified diversions will be clearly signed and help will be on hand at each end to advise drivers.

Mark Shaw, Buckinghamshire County Council Cabinet Member for Transport, said: ‘Bringing this work forward means that we can make a longer lasting repair to this road now, rather than patching it and having to make the same repair more than once.
