Police appeal for information following firearms incident in High Wycombe

An appeal for information has been launched by Thames Valley Police following an incident of possession of a firearm with intent in West End Road, High Wycombe.

Just after 7.30pm on Thursday 23rd June 2016 police officers were called to West End Road following reports that a gun had been fired.

Police attended the scene and arrested three men in connection with the incident. The men, two aged 24 and 28 from West Drayton and one aged 22 from Uxbridge, have been released on police bail until Wednesday 27th July 2016.

Senior investigating officer, Det Insp Mark Baxter of Force CID said: ‘We are conducting a thorough investigation into this incident but we do need your help to find out what happened. If anyone has any information about the incident, or saw anything unusual in this part of High Wycombe yesterday please contact police by calling 101, or 999 in an emergency.

Officers have been conducting house to house enquiries and there will continue to be a police presence in the area while we carry out our investigation. Please do not hesitate to speak to one of our officers if you have any questions or information you would like to pass on.

I reiterate to residents that we believe that those involved were all known to each other. I appreciate the cooperation and patience of the local community while we carry out our enquiries.
