Teenage boys chased by men wielding baseball bats and machetes in Marlow

At around 7.00pm on Monday 4th July 2016 two teenage boys aged 15 and 16, the victims, were walking along Glade Road in Marlow with two girls.

A Green Bentley with a beige roof with two men inside pulled up alongside and spoke to the girls. The car continued to drive up and down the road while the group were walking towards the Marlow Donkey public house.

The victims went over to speak to the men inside the car while the girls walked away and the car drove away before returning several minutes later accompanied by a blue 4×4 vehicle and a red Audi.

A number of males carrying baseball bats and machetes got out of the blue 4×4 and the red Audi and ran after the victims. The victims ran away and were not injured. The offenders got back in to the vehicles and drove away.

The group of offenders who were Asian, were aged between 18 and 35, and were wearing casual clothing and tracksuits.

The two men in the Bentley were dressed smartly possibly in grey suits and were Asian.

Investigating officer PC Jessica Martin, from High Wycombe police station, said: ‘Officers are investigating this incident and I would like to appeal to anyone with any information which could be relevant to contact police.

Patrols have been taking place in the area and members of the public may notice officers in the area conducting enquiries. If anyone has any concerns they can approach a member of the neighbourhood team in the area or call 101.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for anyone with any information about the incident that could help with their enquiries to call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
