Buckinghamshire County Council Cabinet Member Mark Shaw: Meeting the public.

This summer Councillors and staff of Buckinghamshire County Council will be out and about at a host of local events across Buckinghamshire to meet directly with the public.

Events the Councillors and staff will be attending include popular garden shows, markets and carnivals. Residents will have the chance to quiz them on the work of the Council and the services it delivers.

Mark Shaw, Cabinet Member for Transportation, said: ‘People lead busy lives and don’t often have time to connect with their local council. So we’re going out to all sorts of local events so that we can talk to people about what they think about local services and what’s working well, or not so well, for them.

We know from past experience that informal drop-in sessions in supermarkets are enormously well-received as they give residents an opportunity to ask questions and raise concerns about local services directly with us.

I and my fellow councillors are really looking forward to meeting people right across the county so come along and see us.

Events include:

  • Saturday 6th August 2016 – Monks Risborough Horticultural Show.
