Man, 46, victim of attempted robbery while walking in Birdcage Walk, High Wycombe

An appeal for information has been launched by Thames Valley Police following an attempted robbery in Birdcage Walk, High Wycombe.

On Wednesday 12th October 2016, at about 9.35pm, a 46 year old man was walking along Birdcage Walk, High Wycombe when he was approached by another man.

The other man grabbed the victim’s t-shirt and demanded money before pulling out a hammer from his pocket. The victim and offender were involved in a struggle and the offender fled the scene empty-handed. No-one was injured during this incident.

The offender is described as white, approximately 6ft, of large build, between about 18 and 21 years-old and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing a blue hooded top, dark coloured jeans and white Adidas trainers. He was with three other men, one of whom, was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up.

Investigating officer PC Nico Aquino based at High Wycombe police station said: ‘I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information that could assist with our investigation.
