Wycombe Wanderers travelled to Stevenage for a League Two match on Saturday 11th February 2017.
Stevenage made the better start to the match with four attempts on the Wycombe goal in the first twenty two minutes of the match. In the twenty fifth minute Steven Schumacher gave the home side the lead with a header from very close range which found the centre of the Wycombe goal.
att Godden scored from the penalty spot after Dominic Gape fouled Tom Pett in the Wycombe penalty area.
When the match resumed after half time Stevenage scored a second when, in the forty ninth minute, Tom Pett scored giving the home side a three goal lead which ultimately was too much for Wycombe to over come.
Despite Wycombe achieving 55% possession they could only manage to get one of their six shots on goal on target. Stevenage made ten shots on goal of which six were on target. The match saw twenty eight fouls, eleven by Stevenage and seventeen by Wycombe.
After today defeat Wycombe slip to eighth position in League Two, out of the play off places, with forty six points from twenty nine games. However Wycombe do have a game in hand having played only twenty nine games so far this season compared to the other teams who have played thirty matches.
The attendance at Broadhall Way was 2,602 (658 from Wycombe).
