Fast food outlet in Frogmoor, High Wycombe loses late night licence
The Peri Peri Chicken Delight fast food restaurant in Frogmoor, High Wycombe has had its late night licence for the provision of hot food revoked.
In the early hours of Saturday 11th November 2017 a serious assault incident occurred at the premises during which a man was kicked unconscious.
The incident exposed that the business was breaking the conditions of its late night licence and prompted a review of the licence as the assault occurred after 4.00am when the premises should have been closed
One of the licence conditions was that that two door security staff would be on duty from midnight until 4.00am on a Friday and Saturday. Door staff were not on the premises and the business was still open after 4.00am in contravention of the licence conditions.
At a Wycombe District Council licensing sub-committee hearing held on Tuesday 9th January 2018 a decision was made to revoke the premises licence. The licence holder, Mr Ali, did not appeal this decision within the statutory period of 21 days.
The decision demonstrates that the Licensing Authority (Wycombe District Council) will take tough action when a Premises Licence holder breaks the terms of their licence. Compliance with the licence conditions is a legal requirement.
