32 children and 6 adults escape safely after coach catches fire on M40

A coach caught fire on the northbound carriageway of the M40 during the late evening of Monday 26th March 2018.
The incident occurred between Junction 3 (Loudwater) and Junction 4 (Handy Cross).
Firefighters were called to the incident at 11.11pm. One fire appliance with crew attended from High Wycombe fire station, one from Beaconsfield fire station as well as two from Gerrards Cross fire station. Two officers also attended the scene.
Two hose reels, four sets of breathing apparatus and a water tanker were used during the operation to extinguish the fire.
The 32 children and six adults on the coach were safely evacuated.
