Armed robbers strike at Co-Op in Downley

On Sunday 8th April two men armed with firearms forced their way into the Co-op store in Plomer Green Lane, Downley.

The robbery took place at around 6.30am. One of the fire arms was used to hit a male member of staff while a female member of staff was assaulted during the offence.

The robbers stole cash before fleeing the store.

Both victims were taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital for treatment however they have since been discharged from the hospital.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Suzie Price of Force CID based In High Wycombe, said: ‘This is a serious offence in which two members of staff were physically injured and understandably have been left mentally shocked, therefore it is vital that the public come forward with any information to help our investigation.
