Lidl planning to open store in London Road, High Wycombe

A Lidl supermarket is planned for the site of the Homebase DIY store in London Road, High Wycombe.

A planning application for a new Lidl supermarket, ref, 18/07098/FUL, was made to Wycombe District Council on Friday 10th August 2018. As a result the Homebase store is likely to close.

The planning application is for the refurbishment of the existing Class A1 retail unit on the site, currently occupied by Homebase and located at 300 London Road, High Wycombe. The planning permissions also seeks a change of use to allow the sale of food and related comparison goods as well as allowing deliveries on Sundays.

The garden centre, located on the side of the existing Homebase store, will be used for the erection of two units (Class  A1 and/or A3). The existing car parking will also be re-configured.

A decision on the proposed development is due around Tuesday 4th December 2018.

Lidl already has a store in West Richardson Street, High Wycombe.
