Car caught fire following collision on the M40

A car caught fire following a collision on the M40 during the afternoon of Sunday 7th October 2018.

The collision, which involved on vehicle, occurred on the Southbound carriageway of the M40 between Junction 4 (Handy Cross) and Junction 3 (Loudwater).

Firefighters were called to the incident at 3.46pm. Two fire appliances with crews attended from High Wycombe fire station.

Nobody was trapped as a result of the collision. A hose reel and set of breathing apparatus were used by the firefighters during the operation to extinguish the fire.
