Police arrest two people in connection with attempted murder in Aylesbury

Two people have been arrested in connection with an incident of attempted murder which took place in Aylesbury in December 2018.

A 17 year old boy and a 35 year old woman, both of whom are from Aylesbury, have been arrested by Thames Valley Police on suspicion of assisting an offender and possession of a firearm.

The arrests are in connection with an incident of attempted murder during which a man in his twenties was shot and suffered significant injuries to his hand, face and body. The incident happened in an alley off North Drive in Aylesbury at 12.50am on Monday 10th December 2018.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector James Mather, of Aylesbury police station, said: ‘These arrests were made in connection with the discovery of a firearm, which is believed to be linked to the incident.

We would like to continue to appeal for anyone with information regarding the incident in December last year to come forward and help us with our investigation.

On Friday 14th December 2018 police arrested a 20 year old man from Aylesbury in connection with the incident. On Monday 10th December a 19 year old man from Aylesbury was also arrested in connection with the incident. Police have released both under investigation.

On  Wednesday 13th March 2019 a 17 year old boy from Aylesbury was charged in connection with the incident with one count of attempted murder and a count of possession a firearm with intent to endanger life.
