Shoppers in High Wycombe asked to show their support for The Royal Star & Garter Homes

| June 7, 2019

Shoppers in High Wycombe are being urged to help The Royal Star & Garter Homes win a share of £1,000.

The Royal Star & Garter Homes, which cares for ex-Servicemen and women and their partners living with disability or dementia, opened a state-of-the-art Home in Hughenden Avenue, High Wycombe in April 2019.

Throughout June 2019 customers at the Waitrose supermarket in Marlow Hill, High Wycombe can vote for the Charity with green tokens given to them at the checkout as part of the supermarket’s Community Matters initiative.

Shoppers are able to vote for three good causes from the store. The more tokens received by each Charity, the bigger their share of £1,000.

Any money awarded to The Royal Star & Garter Home will go towards the purchase of a new minibus, which will be used to help take resident on outings and to medical appointments.

Caley Eldred, Director of Supporter Engagement at the Charity, said: ‘We’re so excited to be in High Wycombe and part of Waitrose’s Community Matters programme. A minibus will allow residents to get out and about, and play a key role in the quality of care we provide.

The The Royal Star & Garter Homes charity also has Homes in Surbiton, Surrey and Solihull in the West Midlands.
