Four patients die from Covid-19 Coronavirus at Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals
Four patients have died from Covid-19 Coronavirus at Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals.
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust issued a statement on Wednesday 18th March 2020 which reads as follows :
‘Sadly, we can confirm that 2 patients who were being cared for at Wycombe Hospital and 2 patients who were being cared for at Stoke Mandeville Hospital have died.
The two men and two women were admitted with underlying health conditions and subsequently tested positive for COVID-19. Two of the patients were in their late 60s and two in their 80s.
The families have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time. We will not be commenting further and ask that everybody respects the families’ privacy.’

Currently there are restrictions in place for visitors to Stoke Mandeville, Wycombe, Amersham and Buckingham hospitals.
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is asking that there should be no visitors to inpatients wards without prior permission from senior ward staff. Anyone wishing to visit is asked to call ahead before making a visit to the hospital to avoid not being allowed onto the wards.
