Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 27th April 2020
Week commencing Monday 27th April 2020 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.
Due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic there are a number of changes to Bus Services in Buckinghamshire. Details of affected services and revised timetables can be found on the Buckinghamshire Council website.
Bus Diversions
Grendon Road, Grendon Underwood : Wednesday 22nd to Thursday 30th April 2020. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire road surface repairs this road will be closed during this period. Buses will divert via the A41 and turn right at The Broadway. Stops along Grendon Road or Main Street will not be served. Passengers are advised to the ‘Kingswood Crossroads’ stop for journeys back from Aylesbury or wait opposite Kingswood Lane and hail clearly for the bus for journeys to Aylesbury. Alternatively wait on the Broadway near the junction with Main Street and hail to the driver.
Heath End Road, High Wycombe / Flackwell Heath : Thursday 23rd April 2020 to Monday 4th May 2020, 8.40am to 7pm (excluding weekends). Due to urgent Transport for Buckinghamshire repairs this road will be closed on these dates. Bus route 36 will have to divert via the London Road, Station Road, Swains Lane and rejoin it’s normal route at Straight Bit. As such they will not serve stops on Marlow Hill, Daws Hill Lane or Heath End Road between these times.
Marlow Road, Booker / Clay Hill : Monday 27th April 2020, 8am to 4pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works route 28 and 48 buses will need to turn round in Lane End and not serve Clay Hill or the Marlow Road stops in Lane End between these times.
Bus Stop Suspensions
Addison Road, Steeple Claydon : Tuesday 18th February 2020 to Friday 26th June. Due to development works the stops near the junction of Vicarage Road will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the temporary stops, provided away from the works, instead.
A413 Amersham Road, Chalfont St Giles : Tuesday 17th March 2020 to Wednesday 1st July 2020. Due to works on behalf of HS2 both ‘Cherry Acre’ and the ‘Green Meadows’ stop towards Gerrards Cross will be suspended during this period. Please use the ‘Misbourne Avenue’ or ‘King’s Road’ stops instead.
A41, Westcott : Monday 30th March 2020 to Friday 8th May 2020. Due to works to construct a roundabout both ‘Westcott Turn’ bus stops will be suspended during this period.
Pond Approach, Holmer Green : Thursday 23rd to Monday 27th April 2020. Due to Affinity Water works the ‘Browns Road’ stop towards Amersham will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Pond’ stop instead.
Windsor Road, Gerrards Cross : Thursday 23rd to Monday 27th April 2020. Due to Affinity Water works the ‘Hedgerley Lane’ stop towards the town centre will be suspended. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Manor Lane’ stop instead.
A41, Tring Road, Aylesbury : Friday 24th to Tuesday 28th April 2020. Due to works on behalf of Openreach the ‘Bedgrove Lights’ stop for journeys away from town will be suspended during these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Broughton Brook’ stop further back along the Tring Road.
Henley Road, Marlow : Saturday 25th to Monday 27th April 2020. Due to works on behalf of Openreach the two ‘Dog and Badger PH’ stops will be suspended on these days.
Station Road, Bourne End : Monday 27th April 2020 to Friday 1st May 2020. Due to works on behalf of Cadent Gas the two ‘St Mark’s Church’ stops will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Railway Station’ stops instead.
A4010, Aylesbury Road, Monks Risborough : Tuesday 28th to Thursday 30th April 2020. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Holloway’ stop towards Aylesbury will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stop further back along Aylesbury Road at ‘St Peter’s Lane’ instead.
Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross : Thursday 30th April 2020 to Wednesday 6th May 2020. Due to Cadent Gas works both ‘South Park Crescent’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘St Mary’s School’ stops instead.
Hogfair Lane, Burnham : Friday 1st to Thursday 7th May 2020. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the stop opposite Lincoln Hatch Lane and the stop opposite Burnham Grammar School will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Ramsey Court’ stops on Lower Britwell Road or the ‘Fairfield Road’ stops on Britwell Road instead.
