Bus stop suspensions and service diversions in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 15th November 2021

Week commencing Monday 15th November 2021 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Station Road, Quainton (Between the Crossroads junction and the A41) : Until 31st December 2021. Due to works by HS2 this section of road will be closed. Bus route 16 will travel to / from Waddesdon via Quainton Road in both directions during this period.

Pippin Road and Bramley Road, Berryfields, Aylesbury : Monday 11th October 2021 until further notice. Due to developer works on the site these roads will be closed. Bus routes 4 and 4A will continue along Paradise Orchard and will not serve Collington Road, Russet Street, Worcester Street, Bramley Road or Pippin Road during this period.

Amersham Hill, High Wycombe : Tuesday 9th to Monday 15th November 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed between Castle Street and Lucas Road on these nights. Evening buses will divert via Crendon Street, Queen Victoria Road, London Road, Gordon Road, Bowerdean Road and Arnison Avenue.

Stops will not be served at:

Totteridge Road between Bowerdean Road and Amersham Hill.
Along Amersham Hill and Amersham Road between Castle Street and Arnison Avenue.
At the Railway Station. Passengers for the Railway Station are advised to use the stops on Castle Street instead.

Brackley Lane, Calvert : Wednesday 10th to Saturday 20th November 2021. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed. Buses will turn at the Community Hall and will not be able to serve the stops on Brackley Lane or Werner Terrace.

A41 High Street, Waddesdon : Monday 15th to Saturday 27th November 2021, 7.00pm to 6.00am (overnight). Due to HS2 works the following journeys will not operate:

Service 16

6.30pm Aylesbury – Westcott Venture Park (Monday to Friday)
6.54pm Marsh Gibbon – Aylesbury (Saturday)
6.59pm Marsh Gibbon – Aylesbury (Monday to Friday)
7.08pm Westcott Venture Park – Aylesbury (Monday to Friday)

Service 17

6.40pm Aylesbury – Bicester (Monday to Saturday)
7.25pm Bicester – Aylesbury (Monday to Saturday)

Cogdells Lane, Chartridge : Monday 15th to Wednesday 17th November 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works buses will be unable to access or turn at the Village Hall. Buses on Service 77 will not serve stops between Berkeley Avenue and Chartridge on these days. Passengers wishing to use the Service 177 on Tuesday towards Great Missenden and Amersham should wait where safe on Chartridge Lane. On Wednesday, an alternative journey to Chesham is provided on Service 190, leaving from opposite the Village Hall at 1106 and returning from Chesham at 1325.

Slough Road, Iver : Wednesday 17th to Sunday 21st November 2021, 8.00pm to 6.00am (overnight). Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works buses will follow a diversion route using Oxford Road, Denham Road and Bangors Road North instead of Slough Road between Uxbridge and Iver.

High Wycombe Town Centre : Thursday 18th November 2021, 7.00am to 12.00am (midnight). Due to the Christmas Lights Festival buses will be unable to serve stops on Castle Street, High Street, Oxford Street or Frogmoor. Passengers are advised to use High Wycombe Bus Station. Buses that use Amersham Hill will also stop in Crendon Street.

Cheapside Lane, Denham : Thursday 18th November 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works buses will divert using Old Mill Lane and Ashmead Lane and buses towards Uxbridge will not serve Cheapside Lane stops.

Lancaster Road, High Wycombe : Thursday 18th to Friday 19th November 2021 (overnight). Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works buses will divert using Marlow Road and Cressex Road.

Bus Stop Closures

Bicester Road, Berryfields : Aylesbury, Monday 1st November 2021 to Friday 24th December 2021. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘Berryfields Lane’ stop for journeys towards Aylesbury town centre will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Sir Henry Lee Crescent’ stop for routes 4, 16 and 17 located further back along the Bicester Road and the ‘Link Road West’ stop for route 4A journeys, located on Paradise Orchard.

Amersham Road, Chesham Bois : Friday 5th November 2021 to Friday 10th December 2021. Due to Cadent Gas works in the vicinity the two ‘Beacon School’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Bois Avenue’ stops instead.

Heath End Road, Flackwell Heath : Wednesday 10th to Wednesday 17th November 2021. Due to works on behalf of Swish Fibre, some stops between ‘Bucks College Group’ and ‘Fernlea Close’ may be closed during this time. When affected, passengers are advised to use the next appropriate stop for their journeys.

Little Marlow Road, Marlow : Wednesday 10th to Tuesday 16th November 2021. Due to utility works the two ‘Foxes Piece’ stops will not be served during these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Spittal Street’ stops located on Chapel Street instead.

School Lane, Seer Green : Wednesday 10th to Wednesday 17th November 2021. Due to works on behalf of Cadent Gas the two ‘Stable Lane’ stops will not be served during this time. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Orchard Road’ stops instead.

New Road, Tyler’s Green : Thursday 11th to Monday 15th November 2021. Due to SSE works the two ‘Potter’s Cross’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Hillcroft Road’ stops instead.

Lower Street, Quainton : Friday 12th to Tuesday 16th November 2021. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Swan and Castle PH’ stop will not be served. Passengers are advised to use ‘The Green’ stop instead.

Dashwood Avenue, High Wycombe : Friday 12th to Monday 15th November 2021. Due to SSE works the stop nearest the junction with Mill End Road, for journeys towards town will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Prestwood Close’ stop located further along Dashwood Avenue instead.

Wycombe Road, Prestwood : Friday 12th to Tuesday 16th November 2021. Due to Affinity Water works the two ‘Holy Trinity Church’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Hildreth Road’ stops instead.

A40 West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe : Monday 15th to Friday 19th November 2021. Due to works on behalf of SSE the ‘Riverside’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers we the Bus Station instead.

Hughenden Avenue and Hughenden Road, High Wycombe : Monday 15th to Friday 26th November 2021. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the ‘Hughenden Avenue’ and ‘Beaconsfield Arms’ stops will not be serve on these days. Passengers are advised to use the following alternative stops:

For services 300, 333 and 334, use ‘Coates Lane’.
For service 30, use ‘Telford Way’.
Passengers for schoolday services 5 and 654 should wait where safe.

B4011 Thame Road, Long Crendon : Wednesday 17th to Friday 19th November 2021. Due to works on behalf of UKPN the ‘Thame Road’ stops stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use ‘The Square’ stops instead.
