Bus stop suspensions and service diversions in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 15th August 2022

Week commencing Monday 15th August 2022 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Dickens Way and Jackson Road, Aylesbury : Monday 13th June 2022 to Friday 2nd September 2022. Due to works on behalf of Transport for Buckinghamshire near the junction of the A41 Bicester Road in Quarrendon and Haydon Hill, parts of Jackson Road and Dickens Way will be closed during these dates. Service 2, 4, and 5 buses will be following diversion routes. The stop opposite the Cotton Wheel pub will not be served during this time and temporary stop will be installed beyond the Belgrave Road junction.

• Service 2 is running to a revised timetable missing Haydon Hill. After serving the John Kennedy bus stop, buses will turn round divert via Belgrave Road.
• Service 4 / 4A is currently running a revised timetable. Journeys which serve stops on Jackson Road & Meadowcroft will divert via Belgrave Road.
• Service 5 will operate from town as normal to Haydon Hill, then turn at Lautrec Way and divert via Meadowcroft and Belgrave Road.

Wycombe Road / Browns Road and Pond Approach, Holmer Green : Wednesday 10th to Friday 19th August 2022, 9.30am to 4.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works, these roads will be closed at these times. Bus routes 1 and 1A will divert via Watchet Lane and Beech Tree Road missing all stops on the closed roads and at The Common. The nearest alternatives are on Sheepcote Dell Road and Sawpit Hill.

Wycombe Road, Saunderton : Wednesday 10th to Tuesday 23rd August 2022. Due to SGN works the following pairs of stops will be closed during this period: ‘Foundry Lane’, ‘Little Lane’, ‘Haw Lane’ and ‘Ministry Wharf’. Please note these works will use rolling lights and the stops will not be closed at the same time. Please refer to the stop notices and use the next stop along when closed.

New Road, Walter’s Ash : Monday 15th to Wednesday 17th August 2022, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed at these times. Bus route 300 will divert via Bradenham Wood Lane and the A4010 Risborough Road. Stops on New Road in Walter’s Ash, and Main Street and Woodway in Lacey Green will be missed.

London Road, Aston Clinton : Monday 15th to Friday 26th August 2022, 8pm to 6am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed on these nights. Evening journeys on services 61 and 500 will divert via the A41 bypass and will not serve Aston Clinton.

New Road, Tylers Green : Thursday 17th August 2022 to Friday 2nd September 2022. Due to Cadent Gas works this road will be closed between Ashley Drive and Hazlemere Road. Buses will divert as follows:

• Routes 31 and 31A will run a one way loop diverting via Ashley Drive on journeys back to High Wycombe. As such the stops on Curzon Avenue and Hazlemere Road will be served in one direction only and passengers travelling to High Wycombe are advised to use the stop on the opposite side of these roads to usual. The ‘Potters Cross’ stops on New Road will not be served.
• Bus routes 377 and 577 will divert via Ashley Drive in both directions missing the stops on Curzon Avenue, Hazlemere Road and the ‘Potters Cross’ stops on New Road.

Stag Lane, Great Kingshill : Thursday 18th and Friday 19th August 2022, 7.30am to 5.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed at these times. Bus route 41 will serve Widmer End as normal and then divert via Cryer’s Hill Lane and Cryer’s Hill Road. Great Kingshill will unfortunately be missed on these days.

North Orbital Road, Denham : Friday 19th August 2022 to Tuesday 25th October, 10.00pm to 6.00am. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed overnight during this period. Night time 331 and 724 journeys will divert missing Denham.

The Broadway, Amersham : Sunday 21st August 2022, 8.00am to 5.30pm. Due to a monthly market this road will be closed at these times. Bus route 1 / 1A will divert missing stops on The Broadway, Whielden Street and the Hospital stops on Whielden Lane.

Green Dragon Lane, Flackwell Heath : Sunday 21st August 2022. Due to Thames Water works bus route 37A will need to divert on this day. Stops on Chapman Lane, Green Dragon Lane and Northern Woods will be missed.

Bus Stop Closures

Thame Road, Chilton : Monday 23 May to Tuesday 16th August 2022. Due to works on behalf of Thames Water the two stops on Thame Road will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to wait where safe outside the works area and hail to the drivers to stop.

Ellen Road, Aylesbury : Monday 25 July to Thursday 18th August 2022. Due to UKPN works the ‘Ellen Road Shops’ stop for journeys towards Hawkslade and the Hospital will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Blackwater Drive’ stops.

Blind Lane, Bourne End : Thursday 4 to Wednesday 17th August 2022. Due to works on behalf of Swish Fibre Networks the ‘Loddon Road’ stop for journeys towards High Wycombe will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Waborne Road’ instead.

Cam Mead, Aylesbury : Wednesday 10th August 2022 to Wednesday 2nd November 2022. Due to Thames Water works the stop on Cam Mead will be missed during this period. Passengers are advised to use a temporary stop provided round the corner on Long Meadow.

Penn Road, Knotty Green : Thursday 11th to Wednesday 17th August 2022. Due to works in the vicinity the ‘Red Lion PH’ stop for journeys towards Hazlemere will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to wait where safe away from the works and hail to the drivers to stop.

Queen’s Road, Marlow : Friday 12th to Tuesday 16th August 2022. Due to Thames Water works the stop on Queen’s Road will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stop at the top of Dean Street instead.

Beaconsfield Road, Farnham Royal : Monday 15th August 2022. Due to Freeflow works the two ‘Farnham Pump PH’ stops will not be served on this day. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Fairfield Lane’ stops instead.

Red Lion Street, Chesham : Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th August 2022. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Red Lion’ stop for journeys towards Amersham will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Wild Rover PH’ stops located on Amersham Road instead.

Wendover Road, Hampden Hall : Aylesbury, Monday 15th August 2022 to Sunday 9th October 2022. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘Silver Birch Way’ stop for journeys towards Aylesbury will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Hampden Hall’ stop instead.

West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe : Tuesday 16th August 2022, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Openreach works the two ‘Railway Bridge’ stops will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Park Farm Road’ stop instead.

Little Marlow Road, Marlow : Tuesday 16th to Friday 19th August 2022, 8.00am to 4.00pm. Due to Freeflow works the ‘Spittal Street’ stop for journeys towards Henley will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Foxes Piece’ stop instead.

Heath End Road, Flackwell Heath : Tuesday 16th to Friday 19th August 2022. Due to works in the vicinity the two ‘Stag PH’ stops and the ‘Rugwood Road’ stop for journeys towards High Wycombe will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Bucks College’ or ‘Fernlea Close’ stops instead.

Simmons Way, Lane End : Friday 19th August 2022, 9.30am to 1.30pm. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Slayter Road’ stop will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Tapping Road’ stop instead.

Bicester Road, Aylesbury : Sunday 21st August 2022, 9.00am to 3.00pm. Due to Thames Water repairs the ‘Broadfields Roundabout’ stop for journeys towards the town centre will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Stonehaven Road’ stop instead.
