Man struck in the face during GBH attack in Chesham

An incident of grievous bodily harm (GBH) occurred in Chesham on Friday 14th April 2017.

At around 11.30pm a verbal altercation occurred between a large group of individuals, predominantly men, in Deansway at the junction with Shortway, Chesham.

A physical altercation then broke out in which a 23 year old man was struck in the face and required hospital treatment. The injured man has since been discharged.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Justine Haw from Force CID, said: ‘The victim of this assault had to receive hospital treatment due to the injuries sustained.

We are urging anyone who witnessed it to please come forward. If anyone has any information that could assist with the investigation, please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101, quoting incident number 43170108756.

Thames Valley Police arrested a 29 year old man from Chesham on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, he has been released under investigation.
