Murder investigation launched after a man who was seriously injured during a burglary in High Wycombe dies
A murder investigation has been launched by officers from the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit after a man in his nineties died following a burglary in High Wycombe.
On Saturday 19th November 2022, at approximately 2.45pm, a man in his nineties was in a property on Cedar Terrace when entry was forced into the property.
Around £250 in cash and some jewellery was taken from the property. During the incident the man in his nineties was seriously injured and taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Sadly the man in his nineties who was seriously injured during the burglary died at 9.22am on Saturday 26th November 2022. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported.
On Saturday 26th November 2022, at 4.29am, police charged a 46 year old man with one count each of:
- Burglary dwelling with intent to steal.
- Section 18 GBH with intent.
- Assault of an emergency worker.
- Criminal damage.
The 46 year old man from High Wycombe appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 26th November 2022 and has been remanded in custody to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on Friday 23rd December 2022.
Police have also arrested a 39 year old man from High Wycombe on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary.
A 39 year old woman of no fixed abode was also arrested by police on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a burglary. She has been released on police bail until Saturday 25th February 2023.
